"Who is Phil?" You may be asking, and most days me to. Well to put a long conversation short, "Pastor Ron" is too formal while "Ron" just didn't seem right either. So why not make up an entirly new name!? So that is what happened. And look there happens to be a building in Logan named "Phil" with an arrow pointing up...and here is "Phil" pointing up to it. Other names from the week include "Preacher Man" "P-Diddy" "Padre" "Peter Pan" plain ol "Pastor" and a few others that would need too much explanation for now. In the mean time we have made it through the coal mines and landed at the hotel.
The week is coming to an end. It went by far to fast and I'm not ready for it to be over! It has been amazing week and words can not describe what we have experienced and learned this week. We have made and restored many relationships within us and the community of Logan, West Virginia.
Hello everyone! I do not attend st. Peters, so you may not know who i am, but I came on the mission trip with St. Peters and I just have to say... WOW! This mission trip has changed my life! I have grown in my faith so much and have met so many new friends! Today, I got to work with some amazing six year olds at Omar Elementary School. This was an amazing experience since previously in the week I had been doing work on peoples yards. Today I met this little boy named Brock. He was really shy to everyone at first, so I just ploped down next to him and introduced myself. It took a little while, but he finally opened up to me, and when he did, he was the coolest little kid ever! We also had an extremely emotional Club session tonight. Literally everyone was crying, even Michael! We ended it all with a large group hug, and we all knew in our hearts that we had grown closer to each other and to our faith. This trip has been one of the best experiences of my life, and I thank you St. Peters Church for giving me this opportunity that I will cherish and remember for the rest of my life. I am truly changed! |
