Tacos—stay for the service :)
Generations of Lutheran women have gathered in Thankoffering
worship services since the early 1900’s. Thankofferings show gratitude for God’s
blessings and give us an important and tangible way to express that gratitude. It is a
tradition grounded in our celebration of community, of meeting together to joyfully give thanks for what God has given us. Thankofferings have always been, and still are, our
opportunity to say thank you to God in both significant and ordinary moments.
Your thankofferings support the total outreach of our church women to live out our mission—“mobilizing women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.” Together we can do more than we could ever do apart.

The Youth & Family and Stewardship boards are asking members of St. Peter to join us in the Denver Days Parade on August 18th. If you have some costumes we could borrow for that morning please let us know. If you are interested in walking (or riding) with us, contact Eve Pautsch at firstname.lastname@example.org or 319-939-5229.

There will be a meeting on August 16th at 6:30pm in the church library regarding Sunday School. We need to talk about curriculum, SS schedule, and find someone (or a pair) that is interested in leading or co-leading the Sunday School program. I'd also like to talk about how to proceed with music. This person (or pair) would organize curriculum, find volunteers, send out communications, etc. If you have questions or are interested please plan on attending this meeting. As always, please remember that these programs are only available to our youth with the assistance of a variety of people. Thanks, Eve Pautsch, Education Board email@example.com

Donated pies and other sweets will help make this project a success. Please sign up on the office door, or call Roxane in the office at 984-5648 if you’ll be able to contribute. Thanks!
