what can I expect at the family worship service
Just like our other worship services, this will be an opportunity for people of all ages and generations to come together to celebrate all that our Lord has done and is doing.
What makes this service unique is that it will last about 45 minutes long with sermon, songs, prayers, and Holy Communion every week.
Music will be your favorite songs...maybe. Piano, guitar, even drums will lead us as we sing and dance. Songs will come from the classic Sunday School children songs, camp worship, old time traditional, and everything in-between.
Movement will guide us as we put actions to the liturgy and music.
Conversations will guide us as we talk about where God is at in the midst of our lives.
Children of all ages will be engaged as participants in the service, not viewed as someone to be endured for the hour.
The word "liturgy" means "work of the people." Where our traditional worship service is held with pews in rows, with set prayers and responses. This service will have both chairs and tables. Everyone will be invited to share prayers and testimonials as to where God is at work in their lives OR to simply listen with a heart of worship.
